Hello everyone,

There was maintenance that lasted for several hours without any announcement or updates at all.

At the same time, when people asked questions on Discord, they often went unanswered for hours. Many of those questions were simply about problems with updating the game or launching the patcher.

I’ve seen some new players quit before they even received a response. As a player, I found this lack of communication and attention quite concerning.

This has always been a problem with WoM2 Staff.

It's still incomprehensible to me how you can offer a service to almost 10.000 people daily and to roughly 2000 people at any given time, have an extensive team, including what should be Discord Admins and Community Managers, and someone doesn't find the 2 minutes it's needed to get onto Discord and type at least an "we're investigating" message.

Nothing new to be seen here.

This is exactly what i was trying to say, a simple "We're working to fix this, doing this and that etc..." would be 10 times better than simply acting like there is nothing happening.

Hello everyone,

We understand that unexpected downtime and technical issues can be frustrating and we appreciate everyone's patience and the feedback shared in this thread.

Earlier today we experienced an unforeseen technical issue affecting part of our infrastructure. Situations like this can occur in any online service and by their very nature they cannot always be predicted or announced in advance. While we do our best to maintain stability, neither developers, game masters, community managers, nor any other team members possess the ability to foresee every technical failure before it happens. When such incidents occur, the team’s immediate priority is to identify the cause and resolve the issue as quickly as possible in order to restore the service for everyone. During that process, communication can sometimes be delayed while the technical team gathers accurate information.

That said, we understand that players value transparency and updates, even if they are brief. We will review our internal procedures to ensure that when possible, a short notice such as “we are aware of the issue and investigating it” is communicated more quickly through our official channels. At the same time, trust in a long-running project is ultimately built through stability over time, not just through messages during individual incidents. When maintenance is planned, it is communicated beforehand. Running a service of this scale inevitably comes with occasional unexpected disruptions, some we might not be prepared for. What matters most is resolving them efficiently and maintaining a stable environment for the community.
