I don't agree nor disagree however there are a few factors I think you missed:
- Polymorph marble prices - here if a ninja, or literally any other class that is polymorphed, gets caught and dies by an accident or dies to other sophisticated individual in PvP - they will lose 12kk+.. per death! (no one uses cheap poly marbles)
Then let's break it into level sections:
1. Low level (30-74):
- Performance - very cost-effective meaning for a lower budget you can get away with more DPS and thus possibly better revenue (don't mistake with net profit)
- Gameplay - a bit more challenging compared to a non-polymorphed class, you deal a huge amount of damage and due to that, lots of monsters spawn at once and you might get caught up in the act and die (5-15kk down the drain!)
- Gear availability - Rare - if Snake blesses with a gentle kiss on your forehead, you might find items on the market but..! you need to be pushing lots of resistances even as a low-level player as most of the defence is deducted when you are polymorphed.
- Issues - I'd say sometimes you might be even forced into using Dragon Earrings (150 defence for 2h, cost 20kk - about 10kk per hour but you need to keep in mind - 1 poly time on P is 35 minutes, 2 polys - 70 minutes, 3 - 105, with dragon earrings lasting 2h or 120 minutes, after the third poly you either put on a new pair of earrings or mid-through the next poly it will run out and you become very fragile. Then a similar issue with Thief gloves which last 1h/60 min but polymorph time is 35 minutes. When not polymorphed (warrior, sura, or even non-polymorphed ninja.. Lol!) you don't have this problem as you put on whatever you want whenever you want. Now that's why in 1. Performance, I said better revenue might not necessarily be profit here as you will be covering additional costs.
If the situation doesnt change and someone who just began the game asks me "what should i do boss ?" , i will suggest him that "read the poly books and rest until u make ur poly P then farm with hliarious damages"
One more thing to mention here is, as a non-poly ninja it's very much of a hassle to start off the game. You struggle with stones. Any warrior, thanks to aura, will outperform you on a mount/horse. To then build a poly ninja, you would be required to have quite some capital saved up.
2. Mid Level (75-89):
- Performance - outstanding! - if it wasn't, there wouldn't be that many poly ninjas farming helia and flexing their Excel calculated hourly profit.
- Gameplay - Depends on the time of the day but at this point you are used to it and that thrill of chasing the highest PPH, or Profit Per hour, gets you out of bed. Here also PvP can bring you down - one decently equipped Mage/Buff can nuke you in 2 skills if you don't pay attention.
- Gear availability - Very rare - in this level range, the better polymorph ninjas make so much profit they can afford to have a higher budget for gear. This means you will be either rocking your 47avg antler bow in helia or 40 avg crow steel bow as anything above that is non-existent or OTC traded (over-the-counter) meaning it will never see the market. The rest of the gear is performance based. You perform what you pay for. You rock EE 20 drop 15 arrows - you make less than a mofo with sce +9 20 drop 15 arrows. You rock affordable phoenix shoes 2k 10crit 10 arrows.. Wait what. You don't use +9 king fishers which get your poly ninja scaling additional 120AV = 2x of Grudge +9 vs Crow Steel Bow +9 difference?! Are you poor? You don't have 10kkk to spend on the shoes?
- Issues - Here thanks to higher revenue, you can get away with more spendings - Polymorph marble prices, the earlier mentioned issues with Dragon Earrings and Thief Glove and their running time. Matter of fact, here you won't be using Dragon earrings but Tiger Earrings for max DPS potential. You get a few White Flags and just pay attention to not get nuked.
3. High level (90+):
- Performance - questionable (don't worry I'll elaborate) - Past Red Woods the metin stones have much higher arrow (bow) resistance, according to wiki 60% more. Here is also where the bosses become more important and they have slightly lower Arrow resistance compared to other weapons (~10%).
- Gameplay however! - if you played beta you know it's quite challenging for polymorphed individuals. If a warrior or sura gets their polymorph broken they can continue on a mount whereas for a ninja it's not really viable. You get a lot of White Flags and learn from xXxGAYGIRLxXx as his White Flag reaction time is on Formula 1 level. 24/7 you are watching over your back to not get caught up as the environment is highly competitive.
- Gear availability - Bow, armour, helmet - you pretty much make on your own as it's class unique and people on this level don't really sell it. If you played our wom2 you are probably aware it's a gamble with odds heavily stacked against you. How much does it cost? Very much up to the RNG Gods.
- Issues - highly competitive environment, but that applies for all classes; non-existent gear, no convenient alternative to warriors'/suras'/mages' mount farming. The benefits here just slightly make up for the struggles.
As I don't have a whole day I have not mentioned some other aspects such as:
- the alchemy approach which can differ from the normal alchemy you would be running on a sura/warrior;
- alternative farming methods e.g. with skills, not sure anyone even does it despite some ninja skills having some strong vs monster bonuses ( maybe not convenient enough)
- levelling issues,
- and probably something else.
As to low level metin stone availability - yes if new polymorph ninjas appear, they will create competition to other classes but with the current stone spawn rates they would just eventually eat out each other's profit making it not as viable to run a poly + glove + dragon earrings + possibly alchemy. Or they would be forced to progress to a map which is polymorph ninja sustainable (red woods or helia for stones, or beta for bosses). Even right now, without ninjas, the metin stone availability for lower level maps can get rough. People progressed with gear, developed protocols for optimised farming, and thus they farm quicker than when the server launched. Maybe just a simple fix is to increase the metin stone spawn rate or create additional stone spawn points? Everything is probably better visible for one with access to the actual data ( GD , DEV ).
And for this:
i was so afraid on new maps what would ninja make, and i saw that ...
How do you know how the dungeon, or map, or boss will look like? Are these the final values? Are you able to use a polymorph? Without the access to polymorph even -100% Arrow resistance probably won't help. Also, statistically I am confident there are still not nearly as many polymorph ninjas as warriors and do we know actually know the server vision of the staff? so...! Have a good one
