Well, dont u get it? Thats why our suggestions will never get accepted, and the opinions will be shut down with some bullshit lol
Hello,

i am sorry but you can not generalize everything based on a couple rejected suggestions. There are/were plenty of other ideas that are and were accepted and it was realized but somehow no ones makes a "positive drama" around that...only pushing the negativity to the edge where team members get disrespected, insulted and whatnot. Thats really rude and childish behavior (and then players come and ask "why i got this forum ban???" - like we do not live on the same planet).
Please keep in mind to keep your debates within boundaries of normal, constructive and fruitful conversation with other players and/or team members.

Regards.

Sorry but whats up with this absolute nonsense? "Im getting disrespected by players" "im getting offended by players" lmfao what? As toxic said, everybody, besides the team, talks on forum for something constructive. Yet yall just: hey im feeling offended ban. Also ban in game for things that happen on ds/forum. LOL. Im talking evrytime we have to say something about the game, we get shut down instantly. Razador 50k crit in best pvm players? Totally normal. 30 pvp chars on the whole server? Tottaly normal. 100+ blessing scrolls for a lv 8 item? Tottaly normal

It probably doesn't matter, the team doesn't take players feedback seriously at all. The forum threads here are more just us sighing, nothing will change becouse of that.

Feedback from you guys is essential, and I've already made a lot of changes based on forum discussions. However, with the amount of work on events and content, I might not respond to every post directly. Nevertheless, I do gather and consider them, making changes as needed, unless they require significant approval from all departments in this staff. Cause yeah there is more to WoM than my game design and I do not have the saying in everything. There is a board like in every big company where we vote stuff.

Additionally, not many people get involved in forum discussions. Some joined the game because of its challenging parts, while others prefer a more balanced and easier experience. So there are and will be changes that will upset some parts of the community.

After considering all this, I know some might see me as the bad guy, but I have to accept it cause we are a bunch of people that interact directly with you, and you can not hate people you do not know. The best I can do, and will do, is ask for a vote on this topic on Discord. Then, based on the results, I'll advocate for a general increase in upgrade rates, at least for items up to beta gear, which marks the latest tier.

Because they have a vision for the server that is different from most player's. They want hardcore server with logetivity and slow progress.

When someone says that u need 4 people to play on 1 account that's not necessarily true, but if you compare to those, then u sure feel "behind" if you don't do so. If there were no tryhards on the server, and u had no degenerates to compare to, it would just seem like a slow server with everyone having **** gear.

You will always be behind relative to them, because if admins give higher upgrade chances, then guess what, casuals progress faster, but so do tryhards, and thus new "standard" is born, to which you cannot match up if you don't play like degenerate yourself.

If you tweak it to such standard that casual can compete with degenerate, then it's no longer hard server, medium at best.

I like the sv but its no secret that most people leave because they feel cheated on by upgrade system. U literally throw away weeks of farming and its all for nothing.

I'm not sure if voting among admin team is that useful if there are no tryhards in it. You can look at the numbers and tweak the game based on that, but u miss essential part of player experience. If half of admins were at end game (or ever attained it on any server :censored:) the voting might look different, because they would be able to know the struggles first hand and emotional side of mechanics such as hardcore upgrade rates.

Now I will go myself off-topic more or less and try to explain you guys some things about this game and the server. For the people that want to listen this.

Running a Metin2 server that sticks around ain't easy. You can't please everyone, plain and simple.

Consider the proposal to increase upgrade rates by 20% at each level. Initially, it may please players as they rapidly improve their characters. However, this could result in a swift completion of content, leaving them wanting more. If subsequent content fails to materialize, players will; lose interest. Therefore, it's essential to strike a balance, ensuring that certain elements of the game remain challenging, especially the final gear evolutions or systems.

While players have the option to leave and come back we can't rewind time on big changes. I've noticed many comments expressing the sentiment "Too late for this change." However, as I've mentioned, it's better to implement changes late than not at all. It's preferable to carefully craft and implement a beneficial change for the server's longevity, rather than hastily satisfying immediate desires and risking destabilization. Reverting a change damages the server's credibility more than taking the necessary time to build it thoughtfully. I live by a quote "If you mess up you can't go back, so don't mess up"

Now I'll move to the content thing. We unfortunately are not robots to create content and make it appear on the server at your demand. My style is to go with the unique approach rather than copy-paste things. We are not the server that will take every single system and dungeon there is on the market and put it as it is without bothering to change it. I want this server to be special and not a cheap stain on the already stained metin2 private servers reputation. So content takes time and trust me when I say I spend all of my days working on the server. If I do not have some hard content on the server to back me up I won't be able to release stuff at that speed.

@Stforjanka we have a lot of "players" in the board, me included. So it is not about the experience as a player, it is more about vision. It is hard for a team to have the same vision as the players. Most of the players nowadays are not used to have a server around for more than one year (even that is an achievement). Also I understand the other side of the story "Why this one will be different, why should I invest x amount of years to complete the game". And I agree. But still we need to treat it as we want it to be.

I suggested this months ago. the discord voting channel should be developed and used much more actively. i am sure that the results can be seen much more clearly and easily. dozens of articles have been written on the forum about beta upgrade rates for almost 1 year and there is still no common idea. me and a few others have not given up and argue that the rates are ridiculous. on the other hand, you say that dozens of players are writing to you not to raise the rates (i don't see many people supporting you here, just like those who support my idea)

I don't know how this will be implemented, but just an example: keun drops, lost page drops are almost 0, red dragon blessing(m) drops should be removed from beta bosses. when we propose this from the forum, would a system where only beta farmers can vote be too utopian? if most of the players agree, changes will probably be made accordingly. but if the proposal is little supported, we can see this clearly.

The vision can be attained by others means than upgrading RNG. U can keep the current rates, and not have players leave, but you would have to solve the issue that arises, when you get consecutively unlucky JUST ONCE, and you zero yourself out, no matter how much you put into an item. You're left with sense of wasted time, the only thing on your mind is "i will have to farm for next 3 weeks just to make up for that", and then you leave, cuz u reflect on the fact that you're just losing time playing this game. And with such rates, this happens more than it should. I'll always be advocate of rng limiting, where u get more % chance next time if you fail this one, but it's obviously tricky as **** to implement and i don't expect you to. This system however, "rewards" you for failing, so you at least gain something back. I wonder however if you could come up with something to solve this issue, you could probably keep the rates as is then, or even worse.

Well making artisan's stone accessible it is a start. At least you don't have to spend another fortune to get back to the + you were to. And if it works once you are closer to perfection and maybe more satisfied. I'll see how that will work and then calculate if there is a need to pump upp rates even more.

Sure, that works because u remove part of the emotional sting from failing. You spend a lot but at least you're not left at +4, you can still try and don't need to work hard to be back where u were before. If you focus on this approach in other ways then you can make it work. I'm not smart enough to propose ways to extrapolate this approach to other mechanisms, or think of new ones, but maybe you can.
