Hi all,
I think the Battle Pass would work better if quests were more flexible. Right now players are forced into activities they may not enjoy or be prepared for. For example, someone who has never fished or doesn’t have fishing skill ready can be required to catch high-tier fish, while a player focused on fishing might be forced into combat tasks. This can make the system feel frustrating instead of rewarding.

I have a couple of ideas that might improve it:

1. Selectable Quests
Instead of fixed quests, players could choose from a list of available tasks. For example, you might pick a certain number of quests each week or each Battle Pass stage.

This way players can focus on the activities they actually enjoy while still progressing normally.

2. Activity Point System
Another option would be replacing quests with activity points. Almost every action in the game could give activity points, with a daily cap to prevent abuse.

Example values:
  • 1 point per monster kill
  • 20 points per metin
  • 10 points for fishing & mining
This would allow players to progress naturally just by playing the game in their own way. Also it would be better for the server as well as right not battle pass is a niche system that is used only by some players. If we turn this into a system that every player could and would benefit from, every player would bother buying battle pass premium.

If anyone has other ideas or improvements, I would like to hear them. I think a more flexible system would make the Battle Pass feel much better for different types of players.

Additionally, the quests that are used to unlock the battle pass are often simple things that the player might not realize they are doing, and once progress is made towards the goal, the player is incentivized to just complete the quest. [Wikipedia]

We need more of this and less of those quests that require you to completely change the general gameplay style in order to complete them. It also doesn't help that we're forced to interact to content that is irrelevant or might not be relevant at all game stages - special mentions are mining (that new, casual and certain players can't or prefer not to interact with), fishing (since it was divided by stages and BP missions are very specific, instead of "catch X number of fish"), as well as gathering (since we were told that flowers will be obtainable only via gathering but a good session of boss farming nets you plenty of flower chests, and gathering becomes more of a chore with no reward).
Other mentions are reading certain types of books, slotting certain types of ores into items - simply put missions designed to somehow move the market but being more of a nuissance rather than promoting healthy gameplay.

I stick to my initial statement - BattlePass Jumper/Skipper Simulator.

I'd put my signature under that.

I don't mind most of the quests but I wish some of them would be written in a format "do A activity or B activity".
For example, daily and weekly quests that require you to mine/fish/gather a specific ore/fish/flower should also have "or mine any ore/catch any fish/gather any flower" with a higher number.
For a more concrete example:

Mine 150 jade ore OR mine 300 of any ore.
Gather 40 dandelion OR gather 150 flowers.
Fish King Crab Red x1 OR catch 25 fishes from tier 4 (since king crab red is a tier 4 fish, we should have to fish from the same tier I think).

Something like this would make it easier; the weekly quests to gather 200 specific flowers had me gathering literally thousands of flowers to get them done; same thing for the fishing, trying to get a King Crab Red sometimes made me use 200 or more shrimps.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
As mentioned in previous discussions/suggestions regarding the Battle Pass, we do not have plans to make changes to the new system at this time. That said, community feedback remains very important to us and we will continue monitoring player responses and experiences.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
