Rejected Gameplay Balance Proposal: Improving Dynamics and Dungeon Value

Hello everyone, I would like to bring to the attention of the Staff and the community some observations regarding the current state of gameplay, with the goal of making the server more engaging for both new users and veterans.

1. New Player Experience (Levels 35-60)

Currently, new players face a significant lack of motivation to continue after their initial experience. For the first few months, gameplay is almost entirely reduced to farming Metin stones (from level 35 to 60). Many users quit before reaching "P" skills due to slow progression and earnings that do not allow for timely evolution.
Suggestions:
  • Enhance Map Bosses: Give a real purpose to bosses in Map 2, Desert, and Mount Sohan. Making their drop valuable (e.g., by adding Switchers or character growth items) would create dynamism and competition. This would encourage low-level players to fight for boss control, mirroring the competitive nature of Level 90+ maps.
  • Metin Drop Revision: Increase the value or quantity of drops from lower-level Metins to allow players to reach their goals before boredom sets in.

2. High-Level Gameplay and Beta Maps (Levels 90-105)

In Level 90+ maps, farming Metin stones has become frustrating due to the constant need to return to town to sell weapons and armor to the General Store (NPC). Many players stop farming Metins specifically because of this clunky mechanic.
Suggestions:
  • Drop Management: Replace useless equipment drops with stackable "sellable" items or introduce a faster way to "clear" the inventory, avoiding constant interruptions to the gameplay flow.

3. Dungeon Revision and Market Stagnation (Meley, Razador, Blue Death)

The current dungeon system is a critical point causing market stagnation.
  • Meley’s Dungeon: Many players accumulate hundreds of chests without being able to sell them. This happens because opening them is not considered profitable: if you don’t drop a Gira Alchemico (Alchemy Optimizer), the rest of the loot has negligible value. The chests should be enriched with more desirable items to encourage players to buy and open them, reducing the risk of a total net loss.
  • Razador and Blue Death: Razador requires a long run for rewards that are often disappointing. Blue Death, on the other hand, is almost entirely ignored by the community. It is essential to revalorize these contents to offer concrete alternatives to Azrael and Beran-Setaou, which currently occupy 70% of players' time.

Conclusion

The market is currently stagnant because there is no motivation to risk opening chests. If the drop contained more items of value (not necessarily as rare as the Gira Alchemico, but useful for progression), chests would sell more easily, favoring the circulation of Yang and items across the server.
Many players would be willing to take the risk of opening chests if the economic return were more balanced. I am speaking from direct experience: I have frequently opened batches of 200 Meley Chests only to barely cover the cost of the entry keys. When the risk of economic loss is this high, the incentive to invest time in the dungeon vanishes—especially when chests sit unsold in shops for days. I ask the Staff to intervene to make the gameplay less punishing and more rewarding for everyone. A fluid market is the foundation of a healthy server.

Can't have an educated opinion for 1. because it's been too long since I was low level but
2. will never get approved cuz hehe pvm hard server but ehh it's not that big of a deal, imo the reason people stop farming metins is crap drop specifically after level 100 you sometimes drop 2 weapons from a metin like cmon
3. big +1 but i doubt it will ever get accepted by the team, don't you love dropping bonus adder and blessing marble from Meley coffers? Hey man, at least they don't drop anymore from Azrael's coffers :)

Also they might ignore this post because you made several points to different things and they always say to make a suggestion per topic

Hi,

As noted by another forum member, each thread should focus on a single suggestion. Please take a moment to review our guidelines on submitting suggestions before creating a new thread.

https://global.wom2.com/board/threads/how-to-make-effective-suggestions.7/

For clarity, the suggestions outlined above are generally rejected. The only point open for further consideration is the first one, where we agree in principle that some additions for lower levels could be explored. However, this is not a current priority or a specific focus at this time, and not aligned with specific suggestion you proposed.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
