Hello everyone,

I’d like to address a major issue in the current state of World Bosses. These bosses are incredibly overpowered in terms of their drop rates, and their rewards are disproportionately high for what they require. This is a major problem because it heavily influences the in-game economy, promotes unhealthy gameplay habits, and largely benefits those nolifers who get paid in euro to guard and waste their life 24/7.

The Current Situation

Here’s a breakdown of the average weekly gains from World Bosses:

Ice Witch:

  • Spawns 3 times a day, dropping an average of 200kk per witch.
  • That sums up to 3.6kkk per day and 23-30kkk per week.

Wobba:

  • Each spawn generates 120 changers (+ side drops like love coffers, keuns, etc.).
  • The Rune+ drop is around 18 Wobbas for 1x.
  • Daily output: 1-2 Runes+, 480-500 changers.
  • Weekly totals: 3430 changers (13.377kkk), 7 Runes+ (12.6kkk), and side drops worth around 2-3kkk.
  • Wobba generates on average 30kkk per week.

Red Drake:

  • Drops between 48 and 60 chests per spawn, with 50 chests being the average.
  • 3 daily spawns generate around 150 chests.
  • Weekly total: 1050 chests, 17 Runes+ (30.6kkk).
  • Additional drops include 21 Artisan Stones (7.875kkk), Claw Books (90kk each), and Experimental wine+, insane drop rate of cors precious/noble.
  • Red Drake has the capability to generate MINIMUM 45-50kkk WEEKLY. With addition to all side drops it could easily reach 60kkk.

Why This is a Problem

Unrealistic Boss Difficulty

  • Ice Witch > Can be killed with 1 warrior (96-105) in polymorph + 1 mage on mount. Only 2 clients, no healer buff required.
  • Wobba > Gets killed in war poly + mage mount in 45 seconds.
  • Red Drake > Can be killed by 1 person maneuvering 4 accounts ONLY.
They are meant to be WORLD BOSSES, but it seems that one person can effectively do them all.

Severe Economic Disparity

If we look at the medium values of these World Bosses:

  • 25kkk from Ice Witch
  • 27.5kkk from Wobba
  • 45kkk from Red Drake
  • Total Weekly Gain: 97.5kkk

Unfair Competition

Fighting for them? Sure, you can fight, but you will find people playing not for in-game currency but rather motivated by a salary per night. They are 24/7 online, sometimes using a PC + laptop setup to guard with 6-7 clients. Day of the week? Doesn't matter, once the game becomes the job you will often find them them 7 out of 7 days there.

The Bigger Question

Would you still play the server with the current state of World Bosses? Imagine farming 97.5kkk a week compared to the normal player who has 2-3 hours a day to farm.

I don’t believe there is a balance between this. The server is not promoting playing the game normally, but rather staring like a LIDL security camera to see who is killing what and coming to kill them.
Shouldn't we look back on the old server and apply the systems that worked there for this server?
This overreliance on World Bosses turns the server into a complete competition of who has more time to waste.
What are your thoughts?
What suggestions do you have for the current state of the bosses?

Talking about world boss guarding and killing but where was this argument when your guild did all the bosses at all times? I guess you enjoyed to keep everything for yourself and enjoyed the money you were making weekly, but i guess something changed and you don't like it now so your going all out with financial statements here regarding each World Boss. Also talking about guarding and "no-lifers" and for the past few days you’ve been guarding Red Drake so technically speaking your own actions contradict your own argument. If someone has more time or is willing to do something better then an opposing party they shouldn't be punished for it :)
it's not a punishment, it's just unbalanced, unfair and unhealthy for the server.

What you are saying doesn't make any sense. If someone has more time to play then you do kill bosses, guard bosses, farm metins doesn't matter what it is, in your eyes that's unbalanced and unfair how? Because you don't have the same time as him or aren't willing to play that much? In that case what should they do open the server for 3hours a day and after that close it because you don't have more time to play xD

Im out of the circus but I will say this because i notice this nonsense getting paroted around

Even when we had majority of the world bosses after the first "war", and ALL of the wb when cuckab got abandoned before cringuss came back, we still continously made efforts to pressure staff to change the system, which got (obviously) ignored.

During the first war when we were "winning", and Hated was complaining, while the posts they made got downvoted, we still supported the push to change the way it works. I always tried to advocate for things that are good for the server, doesn't matter which side benefited, and we agreed that the way WB works on this server is cancer, even before we got access to our first one.

So, we complained about the WB before we got it, after we got it, and now, after (i guess? i don't play anymore) we lost it.

PS. I don't understand the point of this post tho, didn't they say that they will rework the system? Just wait 3 years man, what's the hurry for.

Oh, one of the people who guarded for weeks from 22:00 pm - 8:00 am, hello there.

The answer is easy, they dont need to reinvent the wheel, they can take a system that works from other successful servers. Spawn the boss at the same time everyday, allow both pvp and pvm to participate and create a boss with a lot of hp and no regen. Who hits most > gets rewarded most.

This may sound very complicated for you tho, as your only way of participating in these clown fests was to be the 10h security camera guy.
If you are willing to spend 18h a day playing a game thats up to you, but it doesnt mean that 99.9% of the population on the server has to go by this terribly designed model.

Don't take it personal i replied to this topic the same way your guild replied to the previous topic posted from Hated members which most of you down voted and clowned it in the comments. But now you don't like the way things are going and you made the same one.

As for me watching Drake yes i did i never denied that and i can spend my time however i like, after all i spend my own time not anyone elses, but i never called others no-lifers or something else for something i did, the way you are approaching it now. Which is absurd by the way since you are the one who is guarding Drakes everyday now.

This also happened with kenki and vizito btw. After beta was introduced and people leveled up, not camping then anymore, they were put in the dirt, rn they are just a shadow of what they once were, which is very unprofesional to say the least, and a huge mistake by the team. You cant just repeat this thing with every new boss... Imo the best representation of a world boss on this server was the snowman, nothing else comes close to it.
The way i see a world boss is this:
-spawns at a random time in a random map (besides beta maps) in a random location
-everybody (who can enter that map) has acces to that boss
-the boss is so tanky that if you dont kill it in 10 minutes it just despawns.

Now ofc its probably way too late to implement something like that, becouse the definition of a worldboss was approached wrong here in the first place, wubba needs 2 players, red drag needs 4 etc etc. Way less than what you would think a worldboss would require. So rather leave them as they are and just call them bosses. Best id think about is randomize the spawn location so it isnt as easy to camp.

I’ve stopped participating in the whole clownfest of World Bosses for almost six months now. After handling everything related to them shops, presences, kill times for over eight months, I’ve come to see the flaws in the system. Ever since I joined this server, I’ve been concerned about World Bosses because I’ve never seen a system make people go so crazy.

I’ll always remember the times when you could move all World Bosses freely it was the most fun, bringing strategy, teamwork, and new tactics with friends. I want to see changes that benefit everyone and make the game more enjoyable. For example, spawn witches in random rooms with drops splitted like those footballs from last year’s summer event. Turn the Drake into a special event that happens daily instead of every 8 hours, combining six drops into one and limiting him to one channel. The fun part? He should have special abilities requiring teamwork to counter just like raid bosses in other games. As for Wobba, just make him useless like he was on the old server.

Now, onto the real issue. Right now, World Bosses take too much time, not just for killing them but also for managing them making spreadsheets, setting up shops, writing down presences. Over time, I found the fairest way to split drops, but that leads to endless arguments: Who gets more? Who deserves what? Why can one player participate while another can’t? It’s exhausting for whoever has to handle this mess. But if you let everyone manage it, it turns into chaos and betrayal, unfairness, and drama. Everyone knows how Metin works.

If you remove this system and instead implement a mechanic like the football event where you get drops based on how much you contribute you eliminate arguments but introduce abuse. People will log in with 20 accounts using multiple laptops to maximize their rewards, leaving casual players, who only have time for a few hours, completely behind. The gap between casual and competitive players becomes too big. Casuals just want fun and nostalgia, while competitive players aim to optimize everything. The problem? One group gets left out, and the other dominates.

The solution? World Bosses should be fun and exciting, requiring teamwork and mechanics, even if they only spawn once per day. But nothing will change until the devs come up with an idea that balances both sides. Just shouting "I want this, I want that" won’t fix the deeper issues. Snake is trying to think outside the box, and honestly, it would be great if people stopped comparing everything to old servers. The devs clearly want to do something new, so either you play and accept it, or you don’t. No one is forcing you. Personally, I binge-play WoM when I feel like it, and it’s way more entertaining than grinding non-stop—that will only drive you crazy.

Hi,

Thank you all for contributing to this conversation and sharing your thoughts, we truly value your contribution. That said, we’d like to announce that world boss balances/reworks are coming with the new chapter this summer. We’re quite set on the changes we've planned after some conversations and testing, so this thread will soon become a bit outdated. We've tackled some of the issues brought up, thought about your ideas, and eventually came up with our own conclusions and fixes. Still, your contributions have been valuable, and we encourage you to keep the suggestions coming!

Warm wishes,
Essence.
