Why is the population still doing so good?

I was one of those players who thought this server wouldn’t last six months, and yet here we are with a population that’s stronger than ever.
Huge respect to the DEV team specifically, the work you’ve done is incredible, and the achievements speak for themselves, but quite honestly in my view: that's the only thing that's better compared to the old WoM.

This is a genuine question, not criticism:
How is it that the old WoM, which many considered the better server overal, a less toxic community, more diversity, better GM's, ended up shutting down despite allowing RMT and even merging all its servers?
I remember its peak population being around 350 on a Friday evening, and then it just faded away.

Can anyone explain this to me? preferably from someone that has been here since the old WoM and also the old WoM before all servers merged (normal srv, romanian svr, etc)

Hey dude, you’re quoting the numbers from the end of the server. Old WoM2 was already in its eighth year, so a drop was only natural. Of course I hope this WoM lasts much longer and keeps increasing the number of players, but I’m afraid it’s not really possible to compare the two like that.

Ye its not real.. checking rankings gives you a better ideea about the player count

I guess it's real, people just forget that many people, or like 99%+ use at least 2 chars (main+buff), others even more like selling chars, DT chars, healer, 2nd farmer etc.
So, numbers can be real in terms of accounts logged in, just obviously not individual players.
