Hello dear community and WoM2 team,

Like many of you, I have been an enthusiastic player on WoM2 for quite some time. While the PvE content, farming, and gear progression are enjoyable, one essential aspect is currently missing: exciting and diverse PvP content.

PvP is the heart of the game for many players, offering a chance to showcase their skills, strategies, and hard-earned gear against others. However, WoM2 currently lacks dynamic PvP events that could boost both motivation and entertainment. Below are some ideas for potential PvP content:

Current Issues in Team PvP

At the moment, team-based PvP content is almost non-existent. Events like the National War which could fill this gap, fail due to the lack of participation. Many players from opposing kingdoms don’t even show up, often out of misplaced pride or frustration. The National Wars that have occurred recently were underwhelming and far from enjoyable.

This is why smaller, more focused events like 2vs2 or 3vs3 tournaments could be a game-changer. These formats make it easier to form teams, as players don’t need to rely on a full kingdom. Instead, small groups of friends or guildmates can easily participate and enjoy competitive PvP without the logistical challenges of larger-scale events.

Possible PvP Events for WoM2

1. 2vs2 and 3vs3 Tournaments

  • Description: Two or three players form a team and compete against another team in a verifiably larger Dojang map or a specially designed arena.
  • Mode: Knockout format or Best-of-3. Winners advance to the next round.
  • Rewards: Yang, exclusive PvP titles, mounts, or rare PvP gear.
  • Advantages: Promotes teamwork, strategy, and offers fun for smaller groups.

2. Last Man Standing (Free-for-All)

  • Description: All participants enter a special map and fight against each other. The last player standing wins.
  • Mechanics: Periodic hazards or effects appear on the map to discourage camping and keep players moving.
  • Rewards: Exclusive items, medals, or character buffs.
  • Advantages: Easy to organize, thrilling, and great for spectators.

3. King of the Hill

  • Description: Teams or solo players battle to control a designated point on the map. The winner is the one who holds the point the longest.
  • Map: A specially designed map featuring a central hill as the control point.
  • Rewards: Weekly titles, Yang bonuses, or buffs for the winners.

4. Capture the Flag

  • Description: Two teams aim to steal the opposing team’s flag and return it to their base. The team with the most points wins.
  • Map: A symmetrical arena designed to encourage tactical gameplay.
  • Rewards: Yang, event medals, or unique PvP accessories.

How It Could Be Implemented

  • Map Adjustments: Existing maps like the Dojang could be expanded or modified with new obstacles. Alternatively, entirely new arenas could be created.
  • Event Automation: Many PvP events can run via automated systems to minimize administrative workload. Players could register through an interface, and the system would handle team matching or opponent selection.
  • Regular Schedule: PvP events should happen regularly to establish a routine, such as weekly tournaments or a major event once a month.

Conclusion

PvP content is a crucial aspect of Metin2 that completes the overall game experience. Players want to challenge themselves, hone their skills, and compete in fair battles. By introducing new PvP events like 2vs2 tournaments, Last Man Standing, or Capture the Flag, WoM2 could retain its current players while attracting new ones.

Dear community and WoM2 team, what do you think? Which PvP events would excite you the most? Let’s work together to make the server even more exciting!

Yours sincerely,

Hello,

sounds interesting! Some modes you described remind me of PvP Arena we had on old WoM to enjoy.
Your suggestion has reached our team, worry not!

Unfortunately, nothing has changed in this regard in 2024. I am once again adding a comment to this thread to ensure that the issue is not forgotten. As described in the article, it is extremely important for improvements to be made on the server in this area. That’s why I hope and kindly ask that this matter be addressed in the new year and, if possible, implemented in a timely manner. PvP content should clearly be the top priority for 2025.

Yes totally agree we need more PvP content.. also for low Level.
And Dojang should bring more tokens per tournament. With elo System sometimes you Lose 2 tournaments in the row in the first round.

Please make PvP Content Updates Prio 1!
