Hello everyone,
I'd like to suggest adding a Pet Skin Removal Scroll to the Item Shop.
I completely understand that many pet skins are meant to be rare and valuable. This suggestion isn't about making them easier to obtain or reducing their rarity. Instead, it's about allowing players to recover and trade a skin they've already paid for and applied, just like we can do with costumes.
For example, imagine someone applied a rare pet skin like Black Reindeer or Qx Cerberus years ago. Today, there might be none available on the market, but that skin is permanently locked to their pet. If they no longer use that pet or simply want to switch skins, the only option is to lose the value of that rare skin forever.
A Pet Skin Removal Scroll could solve this while still keeping rare skins valuable.
Why this would be a good addition
- Consistency with existing systems. Costume skins can be removed and sold, but pet skins cannot. It feels inconsistent that one cosmetic is recoverable while the other is permanently locked.
- Preserves rarity. The scroll wouldn't create new skins—it would only allow players to recover a skin they already own. The rarity of limited skins would remain exactly the same.
- Helps the in-game economy. Rare mount skins that are currently locked on inactive or unused mounts could return to the market, giving newer players a chance to obtain skins that are otherwise impossible to find.
- Gives players more flexibility. Many players would like to change their pet's appearance without permanently sacrificing a skin worth a lot of Yang or Dragon Coins.
- Can help in difficult situations. If someone urgently needs Yang or DC, they could recover and sell a valuable pet skin instead of having its value permanently trapped on an old pet.
- Benefits newer players. Players who started later often never had the opportunity to obtain older event-exclusive pet skins. This would increase supply without introducing new copies.
To keep the feature balanced, the removal scroll could cost something like 200–500 Dragon Coins, making it a meaningful purchase while still being worthwhile for valuable skins.
I believe this would be a fair quality-of-life improvement that benefits both players and the game's economy without affecting the rarity of limited pet skins.
