Pending Shop Search By Player's Name

Proposal Overview:

Currently, the in-game shop search only filters results by item name. While previous overhaul suggestions were rejected, I’d like to propose a more moderate QoL update: allowing players to search by a Shop Owner's name to pull up their active shop directly.

This would also pair really well with pending suggestions regarding saved item searches. Together, these small additions would provide a great QoL boost without impacting the market negatively.


How It Works

Typing a player’s exact character name filters the view to display only that specific owner's shop.

Once you find an interesting shop owner you can add them to your saved player name searches.

Key Benefits & Pros

Drives Trade Chat Engagement: Sellers can advertise specific shops in chat ("Check out 'AkuSokuZan' in the shop search!"), making advertising far more effective.​

Streamlines Repeat Business: If a player finds a trusted seller who consistently lists good deals or niche items, they can easily look up that seller again without having to meet in person or search through hundreds of unrelated listings.​

Better Community Interaction: It bridges the gap between passive shop listings and active trading, encouraging a more lively and interactive player economy.​

Quality of Life (QoL): Reduces friction when trying to buy multiple items from a friend, guildmate, or trade partner.​
