Abit ironic, but I believe the suggestions system is entirely flawed and needs drastic change or its entire removal. Game designers need to be making decisions based on gameplay evolution, data and player feedback, not on "Who can get most guild mates to upvote their suggestion".

1. A vocal minority is present on the forum, majority of the playerbase doesn't interact with forum or suggestions so the views seen on the forum are not representative of the entire playerbase. To add to this, majority of the playerbase active on the forum is primarly lv 80+, so majority of the suggestions are skewed towards higher level players.

2. This system just does not work. Majority of the suggestions are selfish and do not look at benefitting the majority of the playerbase, just the player or their guild.

3. This system has now turned into a Hated vs RB vote fest where each guild is just upvotting their own suggestions and downvoting the others suggestion. If there is someone outside of these two guilds making a suggestion it either gets ignored or just gets downvoted into oblivion.

I believe the best course of action would be to incorporate forum with discord, or at least make something where it is easy for the entire playerbase to participate, maybe weekly/biweekly or monthly polls on implementations from GD team that they are considering, which could be pulled in from forum and DC discussions. I'd say, potentially have a separate section on discord similar to sales and trade section where players open their threads and all players can participate in discussions.

This suggestion will be downvoted into oblivion, but maybe something good can come out of it.

EDIT: If this suggestion is to be closed, please move it to discussions if there is an active discussion that comes out of it rather than close it.

+1 for the removal of the suggestion system. So far, what's been added as a result of suggestions are mostly just sensible implementations - as in things that should've been there from the get go, not suggested by players.

It's always funny seeing someone from Hated or RB make a suggestion and then a flock of random accounts coming to comment and approve only those suggestions specifically, while, as mentioned, other suggestions they ignore completely. Make it make sense - why should the voice of many who don't care about anything else other than their own (dis)benefit be taken into account?

I agree, the suggestion system is flawed. Even suggestions that are upvoted and cearly the community wants a change they are ignored or forgotten about. Also i dont think most players or low level players care enoguh to participate in this hence the flood of high level players in the forum. There are months old suggestions and even longer that still havent gotten a feedback from the team..

- There are suggestions from you that both Hated memebers and RB have agreed on or disagreed on so idk what your point is there

I misspoke there, it's more about engagement, suggestions made from members outside of Hated or RB tend to be forgotten/ignored or not receive anywhere near the level or engagement that hated or rb suggestions get. Which is totally understandable since 90% of the forum is probably comprised of Hated/RB members.

Also, not to sound too *important*, but I believe I have made a name for myself for being vocal and outspoken which naturally bring more engagement towards my suggestions. Take someone else who has just joined forum to make a sensible suggestion, they will probably just get aired.

+1, the only sugestions that get traction are the ones impacting top level players, almost nobody cares to give their opinion on sugestions that would affect everybody, but I gueess that s the dissadvantage on playing on a old server where there is a huge discrepancy between old and new players

Hi,

I believe there may be a slight misunderstanding about how suggestions are handled on this platform. The number of votes or comments on a suggestion does not directly determine whether we implement it. This space is meant to give players a voice and help us identify areas worth discussing internally, not to function as a direct voting system.

When we review suggestions, we consider multiple factors, including data, player behavior, design philosophy, market trends, long-term plans etc., which players have no access to. Even if a suggestion receives 100 votes, we may still decide to reject it if it doesn’t align with our overall vision, future plans or supporting data.

We also already have a Discord suggestions channel that we review daily. While we receive many posts there (including general feedback and occasional off-topic/spam comments), the forum has so far been the most effective space for gathering thoughtful, constructive suggestions. Low-level discussions aren’t really happening on Discord either, so I’d encourage you to start threads for low-level suggestions here and foster conversation, even if many of you are already high-level players.

It may sound a bit blunt, but the ability to share suggestions is a privilege we want to offer to involve players in the development conversation and keep them in the loop. A very few games, if any, maintain this level of direct conversation with their player base. Ultimately, your voice is helpful to us, but game design decisions remain in the hands of the development team, not the players. The purpose of this platform is to gather feedback and highlight what matters most to the community at this point in time so we can have thoughtful discussions behind the scenes. It is by no means a "forum players decide what's in the next update."

Warm wishes,
Essence.
