Yesterday we tried the new Arena with a 3v3 match. It was really fun, but at the same time it showed us some limits of the current system. In about one hour of play, 6 players used a total of 48 Liquid Max, for an overall market value of around 1.2–1.5kkk (not considering alchemy). This feels absolutely excessive for just one hour of PvP and, in the long run, it becomes a strong disincentive to use the Arena.
On this server pushes are essential to balance damage and to compensate the gap between classes in open PvP. At level 105 you simply cannot play serious PvP without them, otherwise you die in two skills and everything becomes boring instead of enjoyable. For this reason, I don’t think it’s correct to say that using pushes is just a “free choice”: in practice it’s a necessity.

1st suggestion- Pushes
Given that, I think a good way not to waste the potential of this new Arena and to make it truly usable would be to introduce automatic pushes when you enter: you choose the mode first (All / PvP Tournament / None) and the corresponding pushes are applied automatically, with no possibility to use any other push inside the Arena.
As an alternative, another solution could be to introduce a system that prevents items from being consumed inside the Arena: you can still click on them and activate their effect, but the item itself is not removed from your inventory (for example, I have 1 Blue Liquid, I click it, the effect is applied, but the Blue Liquid remains in my inventory).

With the current amount of PvP already happening on the server (especially around World Bosses), a change like this would not really reduce the overall consumption of pushes or affect the market. It would only impact the Arena, which until now has basically not been used at all, and would finally make this feature worth playing.

2nd suggestion - Announcement
It would be cool to have an announcement in chat like we have in Guild Wars, for example, “The fight between X's Team and Y's Team will start in a few seconds” so that interested players can be informed and watch the fights as spectators.

3th suggestion - Bug fixes
There are also a couple of small bugs we noticed (we will keep you updated if we find more): first, the respawn position when you exit the Arena should be changed, because you currently appear in a spot where your character gets stuck. Second, HP are not always refilled to their maximum before the start of the match whenever you use items or buffs that change your total HP (turning alchemy on/off, changing items, mental warrior Taichi, etc.). Quite annoying.

Apart from these issues, the Arena, at least in Survival mode, works well and is really fun (we still have to test the other modes). However, if one hour of fun costs around 1.2–1.5kkk, the Arena will unfortunately remain an unknown, unused and eventually forgotten feature, which would be a pity and a waste of the work the DEVs have put into it.

It would honestly revive the whole pvp scene if people were able to fully test their characters for FREE and FUN inside the arena.
2v2 / 3v3 / 4v4 would be so dope inside there at any level to be honest.. I see a lot of benefits for the playerbase if they decide to create the ' full push ' option when choosing the mode of the fight inside.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll be changing its status to 'Pending' as I'd like to hear more thoughts on it.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
Thank-you for the follow-up (it's on the other post related to the Arena update but I guess it would be preferable to keep discussing here since this is a more structured suggestion).
I'm taking inspiration from another player's suggestion to add to the post: it would be cool to have an announcement in chat like we have in Guild Wars, for example, “The fight between X's Team and Y's Team will start in a few seconds” so that interested players can be informed and watch the fights as spectators.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. We've decided not to move forward with it.
I would encourage you to report the bugs through the Bug Report category. Although I've already reported them to the developers, it would be really beneficial if you documented the behaviors of the bugs through a video.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
