We have the option to hide them (as with costumes/hairstyles).
There's really no reason to not have a beautiful selection of permanent weapon skins slowly added, imo.
Personally, I really enjoyed these Christmas edition weapons. True, not everyone might like them and they're surely one step away from the OldSchool vibe, but I really like them. If not these, I'd really love to see some other - I'm getting hella bored of the same +9 weapon I'm wearing.
