New character bans

Today I’m opening this discussion to share some experiences regarding bans that, from our point of view, are difficult to understand.

A few weeks ago, a member of my guild was banned for allegedly using hacks. He has never used any external programs and immediately offered to cooperate with the staff to help identify the real cause of the issue. Unfortunately, there was no willingness to investigate further, and the ban became permanent, despite his months of clean gameplay.

Today, something similar happened to another guild member, who was banned for RMT. This is someone who doesn’t even know what black market trading is, and in real life he is a police officer — it’s hard to imagine he would intentionally break the server rules. He was told he traded items with people he has actually never interacted with. Recently, he only traded with guild members. Once again, we offered all the information needed to clarify the situation, but the ban remained.

I want to make it clear that I have always been against RMT and actively work to prevent it within my guild. Nobody in our guild engages in it, and we want a fair game environment, without shortcuts. What leaves me puzzled is seeing players who have been using characters or items bought with real money for months or years without any consequence, while others who have done nothing wrong get banned.

I’m not trying to be polemical or attack the staff. I’m opening this discussion simply to compare our experiences with others and understand whether similar cases have happened to anyone else. So please, do not close this thread — the goal is only to share and discuss constructively.

Hello,

In the forum there is no room for ban appeals/ contestations or discussions and as a result this thread will be immediately closed.
Also, no matter how much you want to believe and help your friend, truth of the matter is that you can not implicate yourself in a case where you are not involved.
