Meley Keys — This Situation Has Gone Too Far

Hello everyone,

At this point, I think we need to be honest about what is happening with Meley keys, because the situation has gone way beyond a normal in-game economy.

A group of players, especially from the Red faction, has essentially managed to corner the market on the materials needed to craft Meley keys. As a result, prices have been pushed to completely ridiculous levels, and if you want to participate in Meley consistently, you’re basically forced to play by their rules.

And honestly, this is becoming ridiculous.

A game is supposed to be something you play because you enjoy it. It shouldn't feel like a second job where you spend more time worrying about whether you can afford the materials for a key than actually playing the content itself.

What makes this even worse is that the administration seems to be completely fine with letting this happen. There doesn't appear to be any attempt to address the obvious bottleneck or the fact that a relatively small group of players can have such a massive influence over access to one of the server's major PvE activities.

And before anyone says this is simply a matter of "farm more", let me put this into perspective.

I have one of the highest boss kill counts on the server and some of the best gear available. I'm not exactly someone who is struggling because I don't play enough or because I don't have the resources to progress. **Even I am having trouble keeping up with the amount of materials required for Meley keys.**

So what exactly is the average player supposed to do?

If someone with top-tier gear and an enormous amount of bossing experience is already struggling with this system, imagine the situation for players who are still developing their characters, don't have the same income, or simply don't have hours upon hours every day to throw into farming materials.

This isn't healthy competition. It's a bottleneck.

And the frustrating part is that the solution is already staring us directly in the face.

**Give players another way to obtain Meley keys.**

We already have a similar concept with Razador, so this isn't some completely crazy idea that would require reinventing the entire game. Introduce an alternative method that allows players to obtain keys through another form of gameplay.

That doesn't mean deleting the current crafting system. It doesn't mean making the existing materials worthless. It doesn't mean punishing the people who have already invested time and resources into the current system.

It simply means giving players **an alternative.**

It would also be a perfect opportunity to give some actual value to the new "beta" items instead of letting them sit there without a meaningful purpose. Give players another route to access Meley, diversify the economy, and reduce the dependency on a market that is currently being controlled by a handful of players.

Right now, the situation is basically:

You want to do Meley?\
Get the materials.\
Can't afford them? Too bad.\
Prices are insane? Too bad.\
Someone controls the supply? Too bad.

That shouldn't be the design philosophy behind endgame content.

The whole point of having different bosses, different farming methods and different items is to give players options. If one specific resource becomes the mandatory gateway to content and a small group of players can control that resource, then you've created an artificial wall around the content.

Nobody is asking for free Meley keys.

Nobody is asking for existing materials to become useless.

Nobody is asking to take anything away from players who have invested in the current system.

We're asking for **another way to play the game.**

The Razador system already proves that alternative key acquisition can work. So why not apply the same philosophy here?

At the end of the day, if players are spending more time being frustrated by the economy surrounding Meley than actually enjoying Meley itself, then something clearly needs to change.

The solution doesn't have to be complicated. **Just give players another option.**

Because right now, Meley isn't being gated by difficulty.

It's being gated by a market.

My honest take is not that the reds are monopolizing the belly market because the belly droprate got drastically reduced by itself, but nonetheless

Add Bellies to Beta Metins / Beta chaoses with a small chance or add them to Deceitful Forest Metins, problem solved 👍
it could be an alternative solution
