Good evening. In my opinion, if you would be able to split the sellers items and buy how many you want of them and not all of them , it would help the market and save space for many people
Example:
I put a stack of 200 changers on my shop, a player comes to my shop and he will be able to buy how many changers he wants. If he wants to buy 100 out of 200 from my stack, he will be charged only for 100 and my stack will be left only with 100 units.

I really like the idea! I actually proposed something identical a while ago, but for some reason, some people did not like it. And I suspect it's those people who are hardcore farmers and have large quantities of items for sale, in bulk.
To be honest, if I were in their shoes, I would embrace such an option, because statistically, there are not many people who have the necessary means to buy such items, in bulk.
A smarter selling strategy would be to have the possibility to sell to a wider range of buyers (including those who afford to buy, let's say, 50 pieces out of a 200 pieces stack).

+1 from me!

I think people are afraid that they will get trolled and someone will buy 199 and leave 1 on the shop.. or I don't know. I already have 3 downvotes. I wish for some explanation

Hopfully it's not too hard technically cause this would be a huge QoL improvement. I have plenty of upgrade materials that I'm just not picking up, keeping them in storage, or throwing away as it wouldn't make sense to sell as most people want stacks of 1 or 2. Or I had instances where I wanted to buy 10 changers for example and I found a really good price but the stack was 200 so instead I bought at a higher price just because of the stack size. If this were to be implemented I think we'll see a lot more shop density instead of more than half of the shop inventory being occupied by multiple smaller stacked items.

You perfectly explained the exact reason why this suggestion is downvoted.

Would it be too much of a hassle for the devs to implement an optional function when placing a stack of items for sale?

It could be a little pop-up, such as:

What type of transaction do you choose?

Piece by piece - Wholesale

And on the other side, when the potential buyer would right click on a stack of items, there would be 2 options:

a) if the seller enabled "Wholesale", there should be a popup that says "This item is only available for wholesale. Are you sure you want to buy it?"

b) if the seller enabled "Piece by piece" there should be a popup that says "This item is available to buy piece by piece. How many would you lile to buy?" And a little window that lets you type the amount.
In this case, the buyer should also have the option to buy the full stack, also (i.e if the seller has a 200 stack, the buyer should be able to insert the value "200", if they want the full stack.

Again, I'm not a tech guy, I don't know how hard would be to implement such a QoL, but I really believe that it would align with all the above mentioned prefferences.
