Rejected Making default mounts a viable option

Hi all!

I want to suggest some kind of middle ground that could make the default mounts usable without losing out from the premium ones. Oftentimes I find myself unsatisfied with the mounts I have because I would prefer a lion cosmetics-wise, but since I need the attack I'm locked out of options.

What I want to suggest is to find a way to fix this limitation without hurting IS sales, some kind of item in IS that would have a similar cost to a premium pet seal, but it's just a color skin for the mount, while also turning it "premium" within the game's logic, so that you don't lose on the Attack Value. I assume making the current "chromas" do this wouldn't be good for sales, so then at least create a new scroll that can be added on top of the mount with this functionality.

Or it can be some other solution I'm not coming up with, but anything that would be a fair middle ground to this issue would be good. I don't mind having to pay DC, I just want to have the option to use a lion or a wolf etc. and not lose damage just because of a cosmetic preference.

Thanks!

I really don't like any of the IS options apart from skins for classic pets, so maybe you can make those valid for the 315 atck value?
It doesn't feel good to be softly forced to buy sth you don't like, ride it and look at it in a game that you are mounted most of the time. Also lvling your pet and upgrading aggression is very costly and time consuming and in the ens of the day its not satisfying to get reduced value because you don't use a skin that you don't like in the first place.

Would be great if there ia a middleground so we can use the beloved classic mounts with OG recolors in full value.

+1. Would be nice being able to have the same stats on the classic mounts, especially when some aspects for them are really nice: white/dark lion.

Sure, would be nice... but then how to justify selling "premium" seals? Not to mention mount skins afterwards.
If the mounts are the same, why would so many people go out of their way spending cash on something that gives no advantage?
Idea is sound, but then premium seals would have to get changed also to keep players interested in buying them.

* Unless they would come up with something like a scroll that lets you transform your premium mount into the one available from NPC mounts, while keeping the stats of the premium one.

@MIDNITE That's why the suggestion is to make skins for classic pets give max value they are still sold in shop for dc, but this way ppl can use classic mounts if they want and they won't be forced to use the current options. As i said the aim is to give options for ppl who just love old school pet mounts and none of the new mounts.

People complain about the 30 atk they lose, but nobody mentions the AWFUL movement speed of the default mountsm which would be an even bigger factor to me to not use them.

The mevement speed is a relevant point but as far as i see staff makes changes that are fair-ish to both sides the so called middleground. Thus i think finding an option to have maximum stats on normal pets is a bit havier than move speed. Also you can make the argument that if free pets and IS pets are completely equal the won't feel exclusive to the audience that buys them. Even though i am a fan of the mounts being equal im also looking at the matter realistically. So i would stick to the suggestion to make the skins/chromas for normal pets give the full value of stats (atck,block/deff) and honor the players who determined the hours and resources to max out their pets but prefer the old school looks.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. I’ll be moving it to “Considering” for now, as it’s currently under discussion and review.

Please note that this doesn’t guarantee acceptance, but it does mean the idea is on our radar and comes up regularly in our internal meetings. We appreciate your contribution and will keep you updated as things progress.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
