Accepted Lower-level World Boss

Hey everyone. I’d like to suggest adding a lower-level World Boss ( for example lvl 35-60).

Right now, World Bosses are one of the most interesting systems in the game because they mix cooperation with competition.

A low-level World Boss would solve several things at once:

- Early access to a core game system: new players can join the WB scene immediately and understand the mechanics, instead of waiting months.

- Extra income source: even modest rewards would help new players progress, gear up, and stay motivated.

- Breaks the monotony: it adds a recurring “event moment” for every low lvl player, even new comers.

- Enjoy some pvp even at lower lvl.

-Bring some value to low lv opvp items

I think it would be a great way to onboard new players into one of the best features of the server while keeping the World Boss scene active and fun for everyone.

I also propose syncing the spawn with other major World Bosses so that high lv people wont be able to use / create a "smurf" account and dominate newbies without a trade-off

Honestly id like this too, but it depends on how well the team manages the rewards, so they are valueble for low levels, while being useless for high level players. The last thing we d need is for the high level players that cant get anything at high lvl world bosses to make a low level account. Imho i still think those lilac changers would actually make a nice addition setting boundaries between low, mid and high level.

At world bosses the classes are pretty balanced imo

(If we ignore the horrendous hitbox of a specifix boss)

Syncing up world bosses sadly does not work due to their mechanic of the spawn timer starting after it has been defeated.
The only way to combat this would be a fixed timer after it has been spawned.

In any case, I'm sure it would be possible so that not a bunch of high levelers would intrude with alt-accounts, or even if they do, it not mattering much.
For example, make the lower level world boss non-pvp. This would make sense imo, since the target group (low/mid-game players) generally doesn't have specific pvp equipment anyway, and high levellers with a strong pvp mid-level char couldn't just dominate the worldboss.
Also, there are many more players in this level-range, so I think it would be a lot of chaos with pvp being active there - for example, a core group in the middle (even unintentionally) knocking away or killing everyone else. Imagine the numbers on the Snowman boss, just all of these chars in one place instead of being spread over 6 CHs.

Additionally, the rewards should not be gamebreaking, as this would be delicate for the economy. Especially with so many potential players who would participate.

In my opinion the pvp should still be there as without it people would just bring an empty account for 3 chests.( see ice witch)

The chaos you speak of would actually motivate people to invest in pvp equipment Early on, rather than postponing it untill you reach 90+.
this would also give a chance to people that invested in pvp to make a name for themselves rather than just their chars sitting there collecting dust for 6 days / week (exluding dojang )

Thank you for your suggestion. It’s a relevant point with solid arguments and improving low-level gameplay is something we’re always thinking about. I’ll move this thread to Considering for now, as I’d like to hear more thoughts from the community. I’ll also bring the idea to the team for discussion once we’ve wrapped up our current tasks. Please feel free to come up with more ideas or add comments in regard to this suggestion. @DeCiMaToR and @IDemonI brought some interesting points.

Hi,

A quick update on this suggestion: we've decided to proceed with the idea to work on a low-level world boss when the time and resources allow it.
I’m unable to provide an estimate for when this might happen, especially with several events and new content approaching. That said, it has been noted and will remain on our to-do list.
