I'm not new to the server, I made my account on 21 may 2023 and player for a few weeks, coming back to this server a month ago. I'm level 45, so low level, and I want to give my perspective, opinions, and suggestions.
I heard the upcoming event rewards level 90+ x7 more, as in they can get 100 daily coins, low level (35-55) get 15. This only divides the gap further. Why would I want to continue as a new player if I know I'm never gonna catch up unless I play 10 hours a day? I agree some effort should exist, but making us work x5 as hard just to get closer isn't the answer.
My suggestion is that you make a daily cap of 100 coins, meaning each account can get 100 coins per day (would've been nice if it's once per IP, so people don't do it on multiple accounts, but alas you know better). You can keep the same rewards, a mission done by a level 35 nets them 15 coins, a mission done by a level 90 nets them 100, the catch is that the level 35 can do that mission 7 times in order to reach that 100 coin cap, so both get the same rewards daily but lower levels need to put in more effort.
You may say "what if the level 90 creates 10 accounts to abuse this event" what's stopping them from creating 100 and abusing them as it is now? The level 90 needs to put in less effort for those 100 coins, so I don't see why they'd rather play on a low level account/accounts.
Events should exist to boost new players/low levels, and help out veterans. Rewards should be the same regardless of level, sure make low levels put in a bit more effort for it, but don't punish newbies for the event abuse of a high level. Instead work around it so that the high level doesn't feel like making a low level account to abuse the event. All popular mmorpgs follow this formula: boost new players/returning players, help out veterans a bit, and close in the gap so there's more competition and people can enjoy newer content. BDO does it, WoW/FF14 do it with exp events, GW2 does it with their BP that offer a lot of gold/resources towards building a legendary weapon (the best in slot weapon in the entire game that most vets have). What's the point of your events if the gap is still there, if not bigger, but people just get a bit more yang? An event that gives a newbie that makes 10kk when they make 10kk/h farming, and a level 90 100kk when they make 100kk/h farming, is indeed not horrible, but the gap is still exactly there, exactly the same. And the problem? You give the level 90+ more than that.
As a returning player, I can say that gearing up got way worse at lower levels. I remember playing in may/june 2023, and it took me a few hours of grinding and fishing to get my gear (fms+9, LPA+9, iron helm +9 and black shield +9). Total value of those items is around 400kk today, I didn't play *that* much, my character was still Noble at level 42, my fishing rod +4. Now I made a level 35 farmer to buy a 200kk item, that character is chivalric now, so it took me way more grinding than it did back in the day for less yang. The game got harder for new players/returning players, so the gap between low level and high level is even harder to close. What's my motivation as a returning player to play now that I know it's so much harder to get gear, when veteran players got that gear twice as easy?
So that's my suggestion, make events give rewards based on EFFORT, not level. Sure, make high level players put in less effort to get the same rewards, but don't punish low levels and give them less rewards. Especially when player count is dropping more and more, hearing about the daily mission coin discrepancy between levels just left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'm contemplating if it's even worth playing on this server anymore, since it feels like I'm running a race where for each 100m I run, the finish line gets 100m further.
