Straight to the point:
The old Battle Pass worked well because it was clear, predictable and achievable for most players. You knew from the start what you had to do and you could finish it through consistent play, even if you missed some days.
The new Battle Pass brings variety and daily engagement, which is a good thing, but it often feels too dependent on daily missions, like everyday chores and sometimes includes tasks that are frustrating.
A hybrid system could keep a main progress path similar to the old Battle Pass, with fixed objectives that guarantee steady progress for everyone, while the new daily and weekly missions could remain as optional bonuses for faster progress and extra rewards.
This way, active players are still rewarded for daily play, but casual or low-level players are not punished. The Battle Pass would feel like a long-term goal again, not a daily obligation.
I believe this approach would improve player experience.
And maybe bring back the old bp window layout.. I cant even read this one (it might be just me on this one).

Either something like this or work a bit on some of the missions themselves to make it challanging but rewarding and doable at the same time, for example the 100 refine in a month one is ridiculous, and there are many similar one.

What i'd like to add:
The old BP felt much more user-friendly compared to the current one. The interface was clearer and more intuitive, making it easy to understand progression, rewards, and objectives at a glance overall more attractive for everybody, and the little details with themed interfaces on Halloween/Christmas made it even more sweet. Also, the old BP had missions that actively influenced the in-game economy, such as unskippable tasks like opening 100 Moonlight Chests, which increased farming, item consumption, and overall player activity. The current BP feels more cluttered and “safe”, with objectives that don’t really impact the market or player engagement in the same way.
One thing I would definitely keep from the current BP tho, is the choosable rewards at the end. This is a good design choice, as it prevents everyone from obtaining the same costumes and helps maintain their rarity and market value. It also allows players to pick rewards that better match their playstyle, which is worth preserving imo.

This is a marketing decision to bring more income to their business(and it's working), giving the fact that FOMO syndrome it spiked so much in the last couple years it's a no brainer to keep it like this and I'm pretty sure that no changes will be done to the current state, the old system was doable without any skippers so they realized that can do better and they did, but not for the player base only for the business.

Me and my partner moved from doing 4-5 BPs a month together to none - Premium BPs, of course, so we were driving the purchase of at least 800 coins (current premium BP price), which is around 75 EUR worth of coins for 2 players. And we all know many more people stopped doing the BP due to the UI and system overall being too convoluted (per mission, per BP level, currency tokens to spend in a shop, etc.)

What I expect to be the truth now is that those people we were buying coins from are the same people that keep doing BP and buy the coins - to get premium BP and skippers - for themselves. Not to mention the underwhelming rewards (most of the time, this month looks nice) and the illusion of choice at the end of BP. An argument to support this would be the somewhat stable DC price even during events.

In short, I really don't think the current BP is pleasant enough to even support FOMO - and this is coming from someone doing at least 2 BPs on their own every single month for I think almost a year, and mainly for the costumes at the end. FOMO didn't even get to me after seeing the new BP.

I did the same with the previous BP (doing multiple by myself) and I've stopped with the new one observing their intentions and how delusional some missions are.

And don't get me wrong, I have same mixed feelings like most of the people who enjoyed doing those BP, and not because of FOMO, but because I wanted to give me purpose on doing something different when I was tired of doing the usual stuff, runs and stones.I'm sure that there are lot of people who enjoy collecting costumes, and this is the only drive to do them, and many more for other reasons.

If it makes more money than before, FOMO or not, still a win for the business.

I've stated in old topics related to the old system that a rework will be appreciated, but for the missions and rewrds, not for a overall rework and look what we received.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your suggestion, it was interesting to read your thoughts on the topic. As mentioned previously and in other discussions and threads regarding the new battle pass, the current system is planned to remain in place, and the previous version will not be returning. That said, we are actively looking at ways to refine and improve the current battle pass over time and feedback like yours is valuable in helping guide those adjustments.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
