⚠️ SUGGESTION – BALANCE REVIEW FOR DRAGON SHAMAN

IMPORTANT:
I would like this suggestion to be investigated in more depth before any final conclusion or change is made.
The goal is to ensure there is no real balance issue and that the class is properly stable overall. This means that I'm not coming directly with the change, I'm coming with the proposal to start an investigation!

1. Observed Issue – Dragon Shaman feels weaker than expected

At the moment, the Dragon Shaman appears weaker than it should be, especially compared to other classes in PVM.

1.1 PVM – comparison with Healing Shaman

  • Healing Shaman has a clear advantage in PVM due to its main skill.
  • Although Dragon Shaman has better physical resistance, in practice most players use 2 characters, which reduces this advantage.
  • From experience, Dragon Shaman deals lower damage than Healing Shaman under similar conditions.

1.2 Skills and utility

  • Healing Shaman benefits from:
    - movement speed
    - skill cooldown reduction
  • Dragon Shaman does not have these bonuses, and has noticeably higher skill cooldowns.
  • A full magic build significantly reduces Dragon Shaman damage.

1.3 Hit dmg differences

Observed examples:

  • Level 30 weapon:
    - Level 55 Warrior → ~1000 damage per hit (I had 10% sword resistence)
  • Dragon Shaman:
    - Level 90 weapon + level 90 biolog → ~1400 damage per hit (0 bell resis. )
  • Against a level 90 Warrior:
    - ~300–400 damage per hit
    - context: without bell resistance bonus
    - if the opponent has ~30% bell resistance, basic hits become almost irrelevant

1.4 Additional hit-related issues

  • Healing Shaman has a “slow” effect on skills, which provides better control in fights.
  • Dragon Shaman has a “fire” effect, which is currently very ineffective in practice. (e.g dojang, I've never saw the ,,fire'', this means weakness again, because heal has slow, dragon has nothing, because the fight in dojang it takes around 15-25 seconds)
  • Dragon Shaman also suffers from attack speed reduction, making it more vulnerable when relying on basic hits.

Additional note

- The current “Bell Resistance” bonus is basically useless in its current state and has no real impact on gameplay.
- The level difference can make a significant impact, because a Dragon Shaman at level 105 with a level 105 weapon can deal higher hit damage, but at level 90 it is very difficult.

Important note:
- The Bio system and Sapphire earrings may have a significant impact on Dragon Shaman hit damage scaling.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. We’ve decided not to move forward with it at this time. We do have some plans in mind regarding class balance, but given our current priorities, this isn’t the right moment to implement them.

Warm wishes,
Essence.
