Hello everyone! First I'd like to thank you for the input in this thread and others like it. I already had my doubts about my time playing being worth it, but your words confirmed what I was thinking.
For the staff mainly : I started this server some 4-5 weeks ago thinking it's the original Wom2 server reborn. I was very much wrong. To my surprise the drop and xp rates are much lowered to what the original was, and what's really insane is Soul Stones are almost non existent at metin stones. I am full double drop + 3H glove + Site glove, and dropped 2 Soul stones in all the time I've been playing.
Now for other players that are let's say more hardcore that's not a problem, but me and my generation of players are not high school kids anymore with plenty of free time. We're now adults with jobs and families and look for a more casual experience. The original Wom2 was right there on the border between a server that was casual and too hard to be worth playing. This server is beyond what's acceptable, but I said I'll still give it a try, just play less time when I can.
To my surprise, the Sura Magic Weapons that I always main was nerfed for no reason? In classic servers the warriors using Aura already have a great advantage in pvm AND pvp because of the attack speed from Berserk, but on this server they BUFFFED them even more? Especially at low levels you literally can't farm with Sura MW. I have decent items, G3 BLADE, G1 Fear, but every warrior from another kingdom will tear right through me in farm maps with that crazy attack speed + penetration. [STAFF] - This is why you have a server of warriors. Go to map1 Jinno and count the players. I made a warrior too, and the farm experience is like playing this game on EASY MODE. I destroy the stones dealing faster and greater damage with slightly worse items and M3 AURA. Better than G3 Blade, are you serious?? Other than warriors, there's a handful of shamans who are usually the buffs of the warriors and that's about it. You should change the name of the server to Warrior of Metin2, not World of Metin2.
When things are not balanced on anything in this life, it becomes repetitive, dull, and boring. I guess the staff who plays the server mains warriors Aura and hates sura or something, otherwise I really can't explain the choice. People are really farming with Shamans rather than Sura Magic Weapons which was literally designed around PVM performance. On the old server with sura MW I could face every warrior who would try to take my stones, both when I had just started as I am now here, and at higher leverl. I was level 80 sura MW with full P skills, evolved mount, Poison avg 40, full sets for pvp and pvm, and so on. On this server I'll probably be level 75 before I make all my skills P because of the stupid soul stone drop. I understand this is your way of having the server and I understand 90% of the players who are warriors and okay with it don't give a damn about balancing suras and other classes, but as I said, a server needs to be balanced to be fun, and you'll see how these decisions from the staff will put this server in the ground.
To sustain a server nowadays you need the adults who won't spend a ton of hours time in the game to stay on the server and donate because it's worth it, but by destroying people's work with monster damage buffs, crap costume bonus systems, you're just making things harder and by handicapping the balance between classes and forcing everyone to main warrior, more boring . You will only keep driving the players away, then one day have so few players and donations you will be forced to shut down this server too. And I bet you'll have a confused look on your face totally oblivious to what happened again. From the responses of the staff both here and IN game I see they double down on their player alienating decisions. This was the reason the OG server died too. Everything was fine, but then they Tried changing Too much, and when players complained they doubled down and made everyone leave. I know officially they have another justification on why the server died, but we all know the truth.
