The drop of lvl 90 chaos is same as 85 chaos, even though the items you need to farm 90 stones are by far more expensive and the investment is kind of a lot for mid game.
My suggestion is: add 1x Cor Draconis(Rough) to 90 level chaoses to make them worth breaking without having same drop as 85 ones.
The 90 stones are slightly harder to handle since last elemenal changes so investing a lot into farming them should be more worth the investment.
